Diesel Power Technology

The Diesel program is designed to prepare students for an entry level position working with Diesel powered trucks, equipment, boats and generators. Environmental egulations to lower emissions and increase fuel economy have changed the industry.

Focusing on technological advances with engines and seven other subject areas, students should expect a blend of discussions, class projects and hands on activities in a “real life” shop.

How would you like to join our team?

My name is Brent Delfel, I am the Instructor of the Diesel Power Technology Program at Sno-Isle Tech.  In my class you will have the opportunity to learn an introductory level of diesel mechanics with like-minded students from many other high schools.  You will work with specialized equipment, find out about career related conferences, internships and scholarships, share ideas and experiences with your peers while earning college credit.

If this sounds interesting, take a moment to watch the video profile and check out some to the pictures of me and my students working.  Afterward, fill out the form at the bottom of this page to get more information about my program and how to join.  Thank you for your interest; I look forward to meeting you at an upcoming Open House event or during our student interviews in the spring!

In many of the programs offered at Sno-Isle Tech students have an opportunity to earn college credit at the same time they are earning high school credit. The total registration cost per Sno-Isle Tech program is usually $30 or less (and in many cases is FREE!). Students must complete their Sno-Isle Tech program with a "B" grade or better. It is the student's responsibility to register online or complete a registration packet. Ask your Sno-Isle Tech instructor for details about "Tech Prep".
